training day number one.......

18th march................

first day of intercountry adoption training! feels so encouraging to actually feel like we are finally getting to do something. the room was filled with nervous chit chat and some tense moments of silence, as we all waited for he two hosting social workers to begin. i took such a fit of giggles when we had to feed back to the rest of the group what we had learnt about the person sitting next to us. he was lie sitting beside the schoolboy that made you snigger. even if i did receive some dirty looks it helped break the ice.

the first day was filled with people frantically asking question about timeline and countries all trying to get some answers(have to admit we were joining in too as on the Friday we had been told it could be another 12 months before we start the homestudy instead of the few we were expecting)which made it difficult for the leaders to keep us all on track a whistle was almost needed at times, it was all pretty intense but good to help us think things through and also i think we are still pretty committed to thailand.........feeling pretty exhausted after day number one and going to get an early night for day two.......
